Hope everyone had a good start for 2009!
We started ours with learning how extreme winter RVing is a pretty hard thing to full time in~ We spent the first week of 2009 in Minneapolis for a consulting job and found a relatively nice campground – Dakota Meadows RV Park. Due to the old temperature, the campground do not supply water hook up at the camp site and quikly learned why. Any water that is exposed outdoors will freeze almost immediately (under 15 seconds). I think single digits temperature has a way to make that happen! ![]()
We filled up the fresh water tank, but it froze quickly and our water pump was not able to pull the water through the water lines, which was good actually, otherwise the waterlines would have burst if the water went through. So the one week of camping was carrying two one-gallon water jugs for washing dishes, flushing toilet and washing hands. Showers were done at their bathroom.
Jeremy’s psoriasis started to get really bad, so we decided to head south to a warmer weather. Luckily, our client was kind enough to let Jeremy work remote and we are now back in beautiful Austin, Texas, where the average temperature is the mid 60’s.
