Baking in the heat of Arizona

Posted by JacQ

We are now camping and working in Scottsdale, AZ. It is nice and hot here compared to Chicago. But we love it. Going to get some sun and tan up my skin. Start working out so we can train for the Yosemite hike. We have been uploading photos we have not been able to get to and upload for the last year or so. Please feel free to check them out at our Flickr sets or wait for me to add them to the blog~

Our Summer Vacation

Posted by Jeremy

So we have worked out our vacation plans. We are hoping to mostly play for the whole 2 months of June and July. We have locked in July in Seattle, and I am really excited by this alone. We will have my wife’s mom from Taiwan, her brother, who I have yet to meet, my dad, my best friend and the two of us there for the whole month.

Not only that, we will be taking a week long cruise to Alaska! I get to take a cruise, never done anything like that before, and I get to see Alaska and glaciers. This week alone is like 3 huge new experiences for me. Which is what I am all about.

Nevermind the plans to hike/bike all around including down hill action in Whistler.

But June, we have decide to take as our non family extreme outdoor time. And we are going from Phoenix where I will be ending some work in May to Las Vegas, through Cali all the way up to Seattle, by way of a couple weeks here, then a couple weeks there kind of thing.

We plan to do a multi day hike in Yosemite, which I am about to sit down with the map and plan specifically so we can get our permits.

I am not including dates and specific places for obvious security reasons, but here is a general map of what our 2 months will look like!
