One last RV remodeling…

Posted by JacQ

As we thought more and more about upgrading the RV to a Toy Hauler. There is one last thing we need to fix before the switch. The original kitchen sink faucet started leaking water on the top, so we needed to replace the faucet.

BÅGVIK - IKEA Single lever kitchen faucetI always thought the original faucet was too low and splashes too much water when I do the dishes, so we went to IKEA to look for a replacement.

The BÅGVIK – Single lever kitchen faucet, seems to fit the bill. It has an extendable spout that makes cleaning dishes easier.

Tonight, Jeremy finally had a chance to be the wonderful handyman that he is to replace the old with the new.

We were worried that the copper connection pipes that come with the faucet won’t fit the small RV piping… but as we found out, it fits perfect. So after 30 minutes of fitting everything together, Jeremy put in a brand new faucet that fits the space nicely and with the way it is aerated, there is virtually no splashing from the faucet, even though it is at least 3 inches higher than the old one.

Nice job baby!

Review: Zingerman’s Roadhouse in Ann Arbor, MI

Posted by JacQ

Zingerman’s Roadhouse is a must visit everytime we come to Ann Arbor! After a few long days of hard work, I felt like it is time to treat ourselves with some good old comfort food.

I ordered the Buttermilk-Fired Amish Free Range Chicken (I asked for 2 dark pieces) which comes with mashed local potatoes, gravy and mustard coleslaw. Jeremy ordered their Wednesday Special, Mama’s Meatloaf with mashed local potatoes and Southern-style braised greens.

I saved the chicken thigh for lunch tomorrow so I have room for dessert~

We thought the Hummingbird Cake sounds delicious. A traditional southern cake with toasted coconut, fresh banana, toasted pecans and pineapple covered in cream cheese frosting. It was light and fruity, we loved it!

We really enjoy the variety of Zingerman’s community of businesses in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Deli has great collection of sandwiches, cheeses and meats to sample. The Roadhouse offers a sit down restaurant experience with an excellent menu that changes based on what is in season and new things they find out there.

This trip to Ann Arbor we found out that they have opened a creamery, bakeshop and coffee shop right down the street from our client. So we had to stop by and check them out.
