Could you please lend a helping hand~

Posted by JacQ

It is tough times for everyone right now. Even though we have tightened up our spending and try to live frugal. We are still living the life we dream of and know that it will just get better.

This morning, I found out that one of our fellow full time RVer/friend – Cage Free Family – is in a truly unfortunate position and we would like to ask for you to read about them, get to know them and see if you can lend a helping hand.

The Cage Free Family

Aimee, her husband – Jeff, and two little ones – Quinn, and Nichola, decided to remove themselves from the norm, rid of material needs and be on the road in search of simplicity of life and true freedom from all the things that tie most of us down nowadays.

They donated all possessions and started their journey from Austin, Texas, middle of 2008, almost about the same time as we did.

However, the 25-year old RV they purchased as their new home seemed to not be holding up too well and finally totally quit on them and caught on fire last month in Dallas.

Aimee is now expecting a baby and pregnancy is not kind to her. I have never gone through it but watched others who did. I have great admiration on the brave and beautiful expecting moms who really showed us how strong a woman can be!

Her husband, Jeff, works late into the night trying to bring home some money that the family desperately needs. He cares for the children and also Aimee while she is being beaten down by the pregnancy discomforts.

Currently stranded at Chicago O’hare with a little over $100 left. They are in need of any help they can get. They have no more money left to stay in a hotel, and needs a place to stay till they gather themselves and come up with a plan and solution for their future.

We would love for you to consider a little bit of donation to them, for their children… They can accept donations through PayPal at cagefreefamily@gmail.com.

Or if you have any suggestions and have a place you can offer for them to stay for a little while, please email Aimee at family@cagefreefamily.com.

We really appreciate you reading and considering to help them out. Thank you for reading.

Our Summer Vacation

Posted by Jeremy

So we have worked out our vacation plans. We are hoping to mostly play for the whole 2 months of June and July. We have locked in July in Seattle, and I am really excited by this alone. We will have my wife’s mom from Taiwan, her brother, who I have yet to meet, my dad, my best friend and the two of us there for the whole month.

Not only that, we will be taking a week long cruise to Alaska! I get to take a cruise, never done anything like that before, and I get to see Alaska and glaciers. This week alone is like 3 huge new experiences for me. Which is what I am all about.

Nevermind the plans to hike/bike all around including down hill action in Whistler.

But June, we have decide to take as our non family extreme outdoor time. And we are going from Phoenix where I will be ending some work in May to Las Vegas, through Cali all the way up to Seattle, by way of a couple weeks here, then a couple weeks there kind of thing.

We plan to do a multi day hike in Yosemite, which I am about to sit down with the map and plan specifically so we can get our permits.

I am not including dates and specific places for obvious security reasons, but here is a general map of what our 2 months will look like!
