One last RV remodeling…

Posted by JacQ

As we thought more and more about upgrading the RV to a Toy Hauler. There is one last thing we need to fix before the switch. The original kitchen sink faucet started leaking water on the top, so we needed to replace the faucet.

BÅGVIK - IKEA Single lever kitchen faucetI always thought the original faucet was too low and splashes too much water when I do the dishes, so we went to IKEA to look for a replacement.

The BÅGVIK – Single lever kitchen faucet, seems to fit the bill. It has an extendable spout that makes cleaning dishes easier.

Tonight, Jeremy finally had a chance to be the wonderful handyman that he is to replace the old with the new.

We were worried that the copper connection pipes that come with the faucet won’t fit the small RV piping… but as we found out, it fits perfect. So after 30 minutes of fitting everything together, Jeremy put in a brand new faucet that fits the space nicely and with the way it is aerated, there is virtually no splashing from the faucet, even though it is at least 3 inches higher than the old one.

Nice job baby!

Review: Euro-Pro Ninja Master Prep Blender and Food Processor

Posted by JacQ

OMG~ Another product that we purchased that I just have to share with you. This gadget will save us lots of money buying smoothie, slushy, frappuccino from stores and control the ingredients to be fresh and relatively healthy.

Whenever we go out biking, hiking or any kind of activities that makes me hot and sweaty, I crave for a good Strawberry Real Fruit Slush from Sonic after the good exercise. But with it packed with 392 calories in a small cup of the slush, 50 g of that is sugar… I have always wondered if I can make something at home that is a little healthier.

Last Friday, we were shopping at Target and we saw the Ninja Master Prep among the blenders… it was love at first sight, the photo on the package for the Ninja Master Prep looks like slushy textured smoothie! Plus, it also has a smaller container to use as a food processor. I was so excited and swore that it will be one of the new items I want when we save up some money.

But, I am spoiled, Jeremy suggested that we should pick one up today. So we did! As soon as we got home, we put in some ice cubes, with some passion fruit juice from Taiwan and a little bit of water, and watch the magic happen. It took a few refill between water and ice to figure out the best combination for getting the texture we want. But at the end, we loved it. Home made slushy for two~ Yum!

Ninja Master Prep is easy to clean. The blades come out after you are done blending, processing food so you can store the final result in the container and store in the fridge if you need or have left over. The motor is powerful so you want to get a good handle on it when you are blending. The trick to blending properly is to stop and start (pulsate) every 15-20 seconds.

We are having a small party this weekend, and can’t wait to make some frozen drinks for everyone! I can’t wait to make my favorite frozen virgin mojito too~

Tomorrow, we will drop off the old blender at Goodwill and make full use of the Ninja Master Prep this summer!
